Get ready, Wildcats! High School Musical is officially coming back.
The Walt Disney Company chairman and CEO Bob Iger confirmed the announcement, with Variety reporting that Tim Federle will be the official series’ writer and executive producer.
The High School Musical TV spin-off will be available exclusively on Disney’s streaming service, Disney Play, their own version of Netflix.
However, fans of the original movies which kicked off careers of Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens and Ashley Tisdale will have to wait until 2019 for the show to air.
