Comedy star Joel Creasey has spilled the beans on former Playboy model Kendra Wilkinson’s bizarre relationship with controversial US president Donald Trump.
Speaking with WHO magazine’s TV podcast Binge List, Joel revealed that he had been cast to play Kendra’s close friend when the starlet was in Australia filming her reality TV series, Kendra On Top. It was while he was on that job that he found out about the duo’s connection.
‘I was on Kendra Wilkinson’s reality TV show,’ Joel explained of the 2016 TV gig that brought him into her world.
‘She was out in Australia and they cast me as her best friend. We hung out quite a bit, she was actually a total sweetheart – we got on really well.’
It was during an off-screen moment with the star – who famously dated late Playboy icon Hugh Heffner and starred in The Girls Next Door – that unashamed snooper Joel discovered evidence that Kendra and Trump shared a bond.
‘We were at lunch and her phone was sitting up on the table, and I feel like if your phone is sitting up on the table and it lights up with a message or a number, everyone at the table is allowed to look,’ he told Binge List.
‘Anyway, her phone lights up and some guy called Donald is calling her, and she goes, “Sorry I’ve got to take this”.
‘And she had the phone up so loud I could hear Donald Trump’s voice coming out of the phone. And I said to her producer, “Is that Donald Trump?”, and he goes, “Yeah, they’re really good friends”.
‘And this was when Trump was running for election, and I thought, that’s so bizarre, that’s like Tania Zaetta calling Malcolm Turnbull. Like what is going on?’
Kendra’s friendship with Trump has never hit the headlines before, although she did admit in a March 2016 interview with Fox News – around the time of the apparent phone call overheard by Creasey – that ‘I support Donald Trump’. She was also photographed at an event at the Trump National Golf Club, Los Angeles, in 2013.
The star confirmed in April of this year that she and husband Hank Baskett had split after nine years of marriage. The couple’s stormy relationship had been placed under considerable strain by a 2014 scandal, in which Hank was alleged to have engaged in an encounter with a transgender model – while Kendra was eight months pregnant.
‘I messed up,’ Baskett told People at the time. ‘I put myself in a bad situation. And everything through me brought pain upon this family.’
