Harry and Meghan are normally united on all fronts. But following a difficult year that saw them face two international moves, a pandemic and the death of Prince Philip, the couple are clashing over a very specific issue – whether or not they should throw a lavish baby shower.

“Meghan and Harry don’t lock horns much, but they struggled to get on the same page over their little girl’s baby shower,” a source tells WHO.
While Harry is concerned over how it will look, particularly as so many people have lost jobs or loved ones during the coronavirus outbreak, Meghan feels it would offer up some fun and gave Harry an ultimatum.
“Meghan argued that she deserved a party,” the source explains. “They’ve been through hell and back escaping England with Archie and she’s starting to feel very settled with a good core group of girlfriends with kids around her.”
Harry wants to avoid the furore Meghan’s May 2019 baby shower caused. At the time, she flew by private jet to New York from London to celebrate with celebrity friends including Serena Williams and Amal Clooney at the exclusive Mark Hotel.
This time around, the one thing the pair agree on is keeping the party a secret.
“[Meghan] did agree with Harry though that the details of her event shouldn’t get out,” the source explains.
“She figured a private but luxurious shower with just her mum and a few close friends who’ve been in her isolation bubble, in the backyard of their house with a few animals for the kids to play with, could be just what the doctor ordered,” the source adds.
When it comes to choosing a godmother, Oprah Winfrey is at the top of Meghan’s list.
“Meghan thinks Oprah would be the perfect godmother for her daughter,” an insider tells British Heat magazine. “She wants her girl to be surrounded by strong female role models, and Oprah certainly fits the bill.”
