She’s been criticised in the past for her lavish spending, but Meghan Markle appears to have finally got the balance between high end and high street fashion just right.
Last week, the Duchess of Sussex – alongside husband Prince Harry – attended the Italian wedding of her friend, designer Misha Nonoo. The 38-year-old royal chose to pair her $16,500 stunning black Valentino full length gown with an extremely budget-friendly accessory.

The new mum chose to pair her designer gown with pair of gold vintage earrings worth just $9.
According to PEOPLE, the earrings, which appear to be made from clusters of pearls and set in gold, were on loan from a friend of Meghan’s who originally purchased them from London’s famous Portobello Road Market in Notting Hill.
Meghan’s thrifty move mirrors that of sister-in-law, Kate Middleton, who earlier this month accessorised her $2,255 Emilia Wickstead floral dress with a pair of $6 from Accessorize.
On Monday, Meghan and Harry – along with baby Archie – touched down in Cape Town to begin their 10-day tour of South Africa.
The royal couple arrived laden with gifts for the nation’s children from presents originally donated to their son Archie.
They will give clothes, books and other items to an Africa-based charity that trains and employs women living with HIV as community health workers.
