Taking to Instagram on Sunday, Jackson, 23, posted the never-before-seen photo alongside an emotional tribute to his dad.

“This was the last photo we ever took together. 24.2.2022,” he captioned the picture, which was snapped just days before his father died.

“Doing something that we both loved. Playing poker. Miss ya mate. Happy Father’s Day.”

Jackson and his father sported matching hats  and smiles in the photo, Shane leaning in as he shared one of many off-duty moments with his son.

Famous friends flooded the post with messages of love and condolences, offering Jackson support as he faced his first Father’s Day without Shane.

Fellow cricket legend Michael Clarke left a string of heart emojis on the post, as did Schapelle Corby.

“He was so proud of you so keep doing good in your life to carry on his legacy. Stay strong Jackson,” wrote SAS: Australia star Ant Middleton.

Jackson’s elder sister Brooke was quick to comment on the post, voicing her love for Jackson as she shared her own tribute to Shane on her Instagram page.

The 25-year-old posted a photo of herself sharing a cuddle with Shane long before his death, writing that Father’s Day also fell on a sad anniversary; six months since his passing.

“6 Months today since we lost our Dad. Happy Father’s Day to the Best Dad on Earth and in Heaven,” Brooke penned.

“Today is for you Dad. You are our shining Star and forever will be. All my friends and other people who find Fathers Day just as hard, you are in my thoughts.

“I Miss you everyday Dad, I will Love you Forever. SW 23. Missing your Dad hugs extra today.”

Meanwhile Shane’s youngest daughter Summer took to her Instagram stories to honour her dad’s memory six months since his death.

The Aussie cricketing legend was honoured with a state memorial service at the Melbourne Cricket Grounds and an outpouring of love and grief from the public.
