Osher delivers the date card.
The very first clue of the season: “We may not speak the same language,” with half the room betting it’s them.
Turns out the chopper is reserved for just one girl.
Sogand lands the year’s very first date.
“Oh, my God. So shocked. 100%, I thought it was gonna be Kristen. I definitely wasn’t expecting it. I’m so happy.”
“This is the first single date and I’ve invited Sogand ’cause I feel like she really stood out to me with her cheeky translation at the cocktail party.”
“She’s full of surprises, so, today I’m gonna turn the tables on her and take her on an epic first date with a few surprises of my own.”
And Matt was clearly impressed, “Seeing Sogand again just took my breath away.”
After the world’s most romantic helicopter ride… The couple are treated to a beautiful orchestral performance.
“It’s beautiful. Having this moment with Matt right now, I can see it. I can see me and Matt together. It’s been a while since I felt like this.”
Baring her soul, she shared: “I had a bad breakup. We broke up ’cause of family problems,
so it was hard to break it off knowing that it was a reason that had nothing to do with us. I got to the point where I was like, you know, I don’t want you to leave your family for me and I want my future husband’s family to love me. I mean, I know my family would have, you know, loved him and adored him, regardless of who he is, and what he is, and where he’s from.”
“It just took me a while to let anyone else in and, um, I’ve always wondered, you know, why certain things didn’t work out, or certain people, and um, I don’t know, I guess I know why now.
It’s a really nice thing to be let into something so intimate like that so early on upon meeting someone.
“It felt like she was comfortable letting me see some of the past pain.
You’re definitely someone that I haven’t met in a very long time. You’re very genuine, and even though you’re smart, you’re good-looking, you’ve got everything going for you, you’re still just a decent guy that you can have a chat with.”
So did they kiss???
OBVIOUSLY.
And she went home with a rose!
“Of course. … I wanted a rose so bad, but what I got out of this date is way beyond a rose,” she confessed.”
“There’s definitely feelings there.”
“If I feel like I’ve got something special with someone and if they potentially could be the one, it doesn’t take long for me to fall for them, and Matt’s definitely someone I could fall for. I’m definitely in trouble.”
