In just a few days, on Saturday, 6 May, the world will witness a historic event – the Coronation of His Majesty King Charles III and Her Majesty The Queen Consort.
This will be the first time in 70 years that a new British monarch will be crowned, and millions of people worldwide are expected to tune in to watch the momentous occasion.
So what can you expect from the big day? The King and The Queen Consort will travel in ‘The King’s Procession’ from Buckingham Palace to Westminster Abbey, where they will be crowned by the Archbishop of Canterbury in a historic ceremony.
Following the service, the Royal Family, including Their Majesties, will make their way back to Buckingham Palace in ‘The Coronation Procession’.
Finally, the day will conclude with Their Majesties appearing on the balcony of Buckingham Palace alongside other Members of the Royal Family.
