But for the 28 trainer, he admitted, "When you watch it all comes back."
Speaking about having to date so many ladies at once, the now dad-of-three told us it isn't as amazing as it sounds.
"It’s the biggest challenge. For me, in particular, I was really strong feelings for Snez from the get-go."
"But you know you’re filming for the next 10 weeks. There’s nothing I can do to change that. I had to work it the best I can. It’s fine to tell yourself that when there are 10 weeks to go."
"But then when there are 3-4 girls left – it gets really intense. You know they are feeling things from what they’re telling you and with their body language."
He continued, "It’s hard feeling that for someone else."
"Of course, they know what they’re getting themselves into theoretically. But it turns into a real-life situation with real feelings. It’s not easy navigating through that."
The couple is the picture of love. And Sam credits that to being on the show for the right reasons.
"If you are there for the right reasons and you’re fortunate enough to find someone – then it’s easy."
"You want to spend time together, with your friends and family – all getting to know each other."
"If you went on the show with a different agenda then that’s when you’ll get into trouble going to all these events."
Sam explained, "We didn’t really do that. I wanted to spend as much time as I could with Snez and getting to know Eve. If you’ve been through something as unique as Bachelor – then you’ve got this special sounding board. Try and be as normal as possible."
His big takeaway for Matt Agnew: "Spend time together and don’t get caught up in ho-ha! "
Anyone looking at Sam and Snez knows they are complete couple goals.
And for the dad-of-three, he's happy to hold that title.
"To be honest having kids makes you more in love. You have less time to do the fancy dates – though we got a lot of that out of our system with Bachie."
"Nothing makes you closer than seeing what your wife goes through with a pregnancy. Having beautiful kids together. There’s an unspoken understanding. It makes you closer."
This will be first Father's Day with newborn Charlie, plus toddler Willow and of course Eve.
And the dad has no idea what's in store.
"It’s all a bit of a surprise. I’ve been told to keep my morning free and then something is happening during the school holidays."
One thing he does know is that they'll be chowing down on his brand new sauce this Father's Day.
“As a nod to Dads and their undying love of a good barbeque, Sam Wood has developed a limited-edition sauce in collaboration BL Burgers - charred to perfection, just like Dad’s barbeque platters. his exclusive condiment is available on the BL Dad Bod Burger.
The burnt sausage sauce will be available from BL Burgers exclusively via the Deliveroo app for $18.00 from Saturday 31st August to Sunday 1st August”
