The Voice Australia is gearing up for its 2025 season – and there are three new coaches!
In January 2025, Channel 7 announced Melanie C aka Sporty Spice, GRAMMY Award-winning singer-songwriter Richard Marx, and multi-platinum-selling hitmaker Ronan Keating will join returning coach Kate Miller-Heidke for the upcoming season as they compete to unearth and guide Australia’s next vocal sensation.
“I am so incredibly excited to be joining The Voice Australia in 2025,” Mel C shared following the announcement.
“I have always cherished my trips down under over the years, so to be there with such a super lineup of coaches in one of my favourite countries is a real honour.”
“I’ve had a love affair with Australia since I first set foot on Aussie shores nearly three decades ago, so I can’t wait to get back to the country where I also met and fell in love with my wife,” Ronan added.
“A country that I now have family and feel right at home in. To be back in the big red chair on The Voice Australia in 2025 is going to be really special.”

Who are the coaches on The Voice 2025?

Melanie C
Melanie C rose to fame in the mid-1990s as Sporty Spice, one-fifth of the Spice Girls — one of the best-selling girl groups of all time.
Known for her athletic style and strong vocals, she stood out as the group’s powerhouse performer.
After the Spice Girls went on hiatus (big sad), Melanie launched a solo career in 1999 with her debut album Northern Star, which featured hits like Never Be the Same Again and I Turn to You.
The album sold more than 4 million copies worldwide.
Over the years, she’s continued releasing music and experimenting with different sounds, including pop, rock, and dance.
Melanie’s also dabbled in musical theatre – for instance, she starred in the musical Blood Brothers and earned a nomination for the Laurence Olivier Award for Best Actress in a Musical.

Ronan Keating
Ronan Keating first found fame as the lead singer of Irish boy band Boyzone in the 1990s.
The group had several chart-topping hits and quickly became one of Ireland’s biggest pop exports.
In 1999, Ronan went solo and made a huge impact with his version of When You Say Nothing at All” which featured on the Notting Hill soundtrack.
His debut solo album was a success, and he’s gone on to release more than 10 solo records.
Plus, Ronan was a coach on The Voice Australia in 2016; he’s thrilled to be returning this year.

Richard Marx
Richard Marx is a Grammy-winning singer, songwriter and producer who rose to fame in the late 1980s with a string of radio hits, including Endless Summer Nights, Right Here Waiting and Hazard.
His debut album went triple platinum in the U.S., and he became the first male solo artist to have his first seven singles reach the Top 5 on the Billboard charts.
But Richard’s success isn’t limited to his own music. He’s written and produced songs for some of the biggest names in music, including Luther Vandross, NSYNC, Barbra Streisand and Keith Urban.
In recent years, he’s continued to release new music, including his 2022 album Songwriter, which showcases both his voice and songwriting skills.

Kate Miller-Heidke
Kate Miller-Heidke is a classically trained Australian singer-songwriter who blends pop, opera and theatre.
She first made waves with her debut album Little Eve in 2007, followed by the critically acclaimed Curiouser in 2008, which featured the hit The Last Day on Earth.
Kate’s career has been varied and bold though. In 2019, she represented Australia at Eurovision with the song Zero Gravity, performing while dramatically lifted on a bending pole.
Plus, Kate’s also written for opera and musical theatre, including The Rabbits and Muriel’s Wedding: The Musical.
She was a coach on The Voice for the first time last year and is ecstatic to be returning.
The new season of The Voice Australia will premiere on Sunday, August 10, 2025 on Channel 7 and 7plus.
