What is Love & Death about?
The seven-episode drama tells the true story of Candy and Pat Montgomery and Betty and Allan Gore – two churchgoing couples enjoying their small-town Texas life.
That is until an extramarital affair leads somebody to pick up an axe, and well, you can guess the rest. But basically yes, a gruesome murder takes place and there’s one suspect in play.
Is Love & Death based on a true story?
In short, Love & Death is loosely based on true events. In Texas during the 1980s, two housewives, Candy and Betty, became friends after their children brought them together.
Things took a turn, however, when Candy started an affair with Betty’s husband Allen and was later accused of murdering her friend with an axe – claiming it was self-defence.
