"They feel that I'm too needy for you, like a stage-five clinger," he explained.
Hot tip for next time: not what a girl wants to hear.
"The boys are destroying everything. It just sucks," said Jamie, almost in tears, as he spoke to cameras after his awkward chat with Ange.
"I'm here to fall in love, I'm here to, like, nurture a relationship. I'm here to see if, like, the universe put us here together. I am the right guy for Angie."
But it looks like the events of the night have finally broken his happy-go-lucky exterior, as the usually placid 39-year-old made it clear he is now out for blood.
"I'm not gonna be a sucker for this bro code anymore. No-one's safe. They're all gonna pay the price," he said, plotting his revenge.
"These guys, they're gonna wish I went last week after this chat," he's heard telling Angie in the teaser for the next ep.
The way the night finished up was a harsh twist for Jamie, who was convinced he'd made a great impression on Angie's mum Kate during the group date earlier in the day.
"Today, I made a really good impression on both Angie's mum and her dad, and I'm sure it'll be me getting the first rose again," he told cameras after their one-on-one chat.
"Angie's mum saw how genuine I am and that's exactly what Angie's gonna want to hear."
But it was Carlin Steritt and Ciarran who hit it out of the park with Angie's dad in particular.
"If we're looking at the Angie settle down and, um, want to have kids type, I'd go for Carlin. He seems like the right sort of guy," dad Mark told his little girl after spending time with the boys.
"But if you're gonna still be travelling and want to have fun, not have kids probably till you're 40, then old mate Ciarran is probably the one."
Ciarran surprised everyone earlier in the evening when he put his usual jokester personality to one side and opened up with Angie, talking to her about his troubled childhood.
He was stuck in a cycle of moving house constantly, changing schools and being forced to make friends quickly, before having to leave them again, he revealed.
"My mum moved about that much... New school, make friends, couple months later, new school, make friends. So, it was pretty awful. Pretty crap. It's hard to talk about in a situation like this."
