The 2019 Bachelorette is set to star in upcoming Aussie horror movie The Possessed and has shared the exciting details with fans.

Angie, 30, will star alongside Wolf Creek‘s John Jarratt and Real Housewives of Sydney star and actress Melissa Tkautz in the horror flick that will be shot in Queensland.

This is the reality star’s first feature film and Angie explained on Studio 10 that she had to audition, but in a COVID safe way via video link.

“I thought ‘You know what I’m going to give it a red hot go, I probably won’t get it,” she told hosts Sarah Harris and Tristan MacManus.

“I sat in the back of my car looking like I was in a dark, dingy set-up. I had my laptop and I made myself all scruffy, like old school Angie.”

Angie added that she had to act really frightened and that it was something she’d never done before.

“You know what, why not? Life’s for living, I love a good adventure,” she said.

When asked what she channelled to bring out the emotion in her audition, though, Angie joked: “Every dude I dated on Bachelorette. Too soon?”

“I’m absolutely pinching myself that I get to work with such amazing Aussie talent in @christopherleesun latest feature film coming out in 2021, The Possessed!” she wrote on Instagram.

“We start filming next month on the Gold Coast! Watch this space … S***s about to get scary up in here. Get ya sage out and start prayin.”

The blonde beauty was flooded with congratulatory messages from her famous pals and soon-to-be colleagues.

“Slay Queen,” fellow former Bachelorette Sam Frost penned.

“Congratulations Angie so happy for you. You go girl..,” remarked Gogglebox stars Lee and Keith.

The film’s director Chris Sun also wrote: “Angie you’re so right s*** is about to get scary 💀💀 I couldn’t be more prouder of the cast we have assembled for this film. I know the horror fans will love what you bring to their genre Angie and I look forward to being a part of your first feature film.”

Angie and her Bachelorette winner beau Carlin Sterritt ended their relationship in July this year citing different values as the reason behind it.

“Chemistry doesn’t always equal compatibility and we were smitten with each other on the show,” she said on Kyle and Jackie O’s breakfast radio show in September.

“I’m more spiritual and a little bit more carefree and wild whereas he’s more….,” Angie added before Jackie said that Carlin was “a Christian boy.”

“He’s a Christian boy and we’re just different,” Angie concluded.

The former Bachelorette also told the radio duo that despite rumours, her runner-up Timm Hanly played no part in her break up with Carlin.

“It was just him and I, and I was very open about the fact that I spoke to my top four dudes right after filming,” she said last month.

“You go on such a hectic love safari, you technically go through four break ups with dudes that you really like, so of course I’m going to check in on him.

“I checked in on them and I always told Carlin when I did. Timm and I stopped talking December last year and Carlin and I broke up only two months ago so it had nothing to do with Timm at all.

“I heard the podcast Carlin did and he didn’t say that’s why we broke up. He’s got insecurity issues which he mentions himself and that played a part because Timm and I were so close. We’re not close anymore,” she added.
