The Golden Bachelor Australia is well and truly underway!
Titular bachelor Barry ‘Bear’ Myrden has met all of the ladies – in fact, he’s already sent some home from the mansion!
And sadly, he sent home Laura, mum of Abbie Chatfield.
Learn all about Laura below!
Is Abbie Chatfield’s mother on The Golden Bachelor?
Yes, Laura is indeed on The Golden Bachelor.
Sadly, we said goodbye to the 64-year-old last night after only 11 roses were left to hand out.
The journey for Laura was particularly sweet as Abbie herself rose to fame thanks to The Bachelor.

She appeared on the seventh season of the show when Matt Agnew was the titular bachelor.
Abbie made it all the way to the final episode but ultimately Matt chose Chelsie McLeod over her (but the couple has since split).
And while Abbie didn’t find love, she found a new career. She went on to launch her popular podcast It’s a Lot, win the seventh season of I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!, and host the reality show FBoy Island Australia – among many other successful ventures.

Let’s see if Laura has more luck finding love on The Golden Bachelor.
Who is Abbie Chatfields’ mum?
Laura Neal is a 64-year-old primary school teacher from Queensland.
She raised Abbie and her other daughter Jolie solo but is now looking to share her life with a special someone.

Who is Abbie Chatfield’s partner?
Abbie is currently in a relationship with Adam Hyde, one half of the music duo Peking Duk.
The couple first confirmed they were together in June 2024.
Watch new episodes of The Golden Bachelor on Mondays and Tuesdays on Channel 9 and 9now.
