After celebrating their first year of marriage, Chris Evans and Alba Baptista have stepped into a new chapter of parenthood.
The couple, who tied the knot in 2023 with ceremonies in both the U.S. and Portugal, are now proud parents to a baby girl, Alma.
While the famously private pair haven’t shared many details, sources confirmed to InStyle that the little one arrived earlier this year.
The pair first made their romance red-carpet official at the 2024 Vanity Fair Oscars Party, where they were all smiles.
The couple’s red carpet debut follows Chris’ announcement in October 2023 that they had tied the knot.
“I got married,” Chris told the audience at New York Comic Con. “It was really, really great.”
“We kind of had two ceremonies. We had one on the East Coast, we did one in Portugal—my wife’s Portuguese. Yeah, yeah! Go Portugal!”
Chris continued to explain that the pair’s wedding ceremonies were “wonderful and beautiful.”
“It’s a lot, planning a wedding. It’s a lot. Those of you who are married [know] it takes a lot out of you. But now that we’re through that, we’re just kind of been enjoying life, gearing up for autumn, my favourite season. It’s like, the best time of year right now. Now we’re just relaxing and enjoying life and reflecting.”
Chris’ previous comments came one month after Page Six began reporting that the Captain America star married Alba Baptista in an intimate wedding in Massachusetts.
A source told the publication that the nuptials were “locked down tight” with guests required to sign NDAs and forfeit their phones. Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth and Jeremy Renner were reportedly in attendance.
Chris has kept his relationship largely out of the public eye, with news of his relationship with Alba only breaking in November 2022 after The Gray Man star was crowned Sexiest Man Alive by PEOPLE.
According to a source who spoke to the publication, the 42-year-old had been dating fellow actor Alba Baptista for over a year and that their relationship was “serious”.
