Controversial radio duo Kyle and Jackie O were at the centre of an on-air drama this morning, when they were pulled off air amid an unspecified emergency.
Listeners heard an alarm klaxon blaring during the broadcast, with executive producer Sonia Jahshan interrupting the hosts to tell them they need to leave immediately.
The incident, which took place at KIIS FM’s North Ryde, Sydney, studios, remains a mystery – but one thing is for sure: Kyle didn’t like the implications of an emergency evacuation.
‘I have to walk down the stairs? Is there a slide?’
‘If we don’t burn to death, we’ll be back on Monday,’ he said.
The show never returned to air, with the scheduled programming replaced with canned music and commercials.
