It’s been over 24 hours since Bryce Ruthven confused the country with his commitment ceremony response on Married At First Sight last Sunday, and, suffice to say, the world is still bemused and befuddled – including former Bachelor Matty J.

Good morning to everyone, but an extra special g’morning to Matty J for his hilarious parody of Bryce, 31.
In case you missed it, on Sunday’s commitment ceremony, groom Bryce confused the country when he wrote “leave” only to cross it out and write “stay” instead.
Meanwhile, his on-screen “wife” Melissa Rawson, 31, looked absolutely gutted after having committed to “stay” just minutes after confessing she was falling in love with him – ouch!
The moment quickly became the episode’s most shocking takeaway as fans were left genuinely confused as to why Bryce made his decision – including former Bachelor Matty J.
Over on Instagram, Matty, 33, reenacted the dramatic moment with a hilarious skit between Bryce and a producer backstage minutes before the ceremony took place.
“Oh, if you make a mistake, I can just give you some fresh paper,” the producer tells “Bryce” as he sees him cross out the word “leave.”
“Hey, do you reckon I should leave or is it better to stay for this one,” Bryce replies.
“I can’t answer that because I’m an assistant here but do you want fresh paper or not.”
“Nah, it’s okay,” “Bryce” candidly says not before the producer reminds him that Melissa – and the rest of Australia – will see his written error.

Bryce has since explained the reasoning behind his decision on the Kyle & Jackie O Show.
“We did actually have a conversation the night prior to the commitment ceremony where Melissa did actually say to me, she said, ‘Hey Bryce, I want to leave. Now I don’t want to leave you, I want to leave the environment we’re in,’” he told the radio program.
“I was like, ok, and we sort of went to bed and the day of you don’t see each other that much.”
“The decision I made to write leave and cross out and write stay was literally made 20 seconds before going to film the commitment ceremony.”
Earlier this month, Matty’s partner and Bachelor winner Laura Byrne gave her opinion on another controversial MAFS couple, slamming Brett for his behaviour towards wife Booka.
