From Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth’s acrimonious split to Khloe Kardashian and Tristan Thompson’s estranged relationship, here are all the stars who separated from their partners in 2019.
Miley & Liam
They seemed so in love after their December wedding, but eight months later, Miley Cyrus, 27, and Liam Hemsworth, 29, unexpectedly ended their 10-year on/off adventure.
Quickly reverting back to her wild child ways, Miley had a fling with Brody Jenner’s ex Kaitlynn Carter, 31, and is now flaunting her romance with 22-year-old Aussie singer Cody Simpson.
Katie & Jamie
They only gave the world glimpses of their love during their six-year romance, but despite rumours of weddings and babies, Katie Holmes, 40, and Jamie Foxx, 52, called it quits in August. Days before news of the split broke, Foxx was seen holding hands with singer Sela Vave in LA.
Adele & Simon
The ‘Hello’ singer split from husband of three years, Simon Konecki, 45, in April and the following month marked her birthday with the promise: “31 is going to be a big ol’ year and I’m going to spend it all on myself.” The ‘amicable’ pair share 7–year-old son, Angelo.
Khloe & Tristan
Nearly a year after Tristan Thompson, 28, cheated on a then-pregnant Khloé Kardashian, 35, she dumped him for good in February when he did the dirty again – this time with Jordyn Woods, her little sister Kylie’s best friend.
Meg & John
They were set to tie the knot, but Meg Ryan, 58, and rocker John Mellencamp, 68, called it quits in early November after eight years.
Kylie & Travis
Amid rumours he’d cheated, Travis Scott, 28, and Kylie Jenner, 22, ended their two-year romance and now co-parent 1–year-old daughter, Stormi.
Michelle & Phil
The Greatest Showman star Michelle Williams, 39, and musician Phil Elverum, 41, were married for less than a year before the sad news of their shock split in April.
Nicolas & Erika
Kooky actor Nicolas Cage, 55, got married for the fourth time in Vegas in March, but his union to Erika Koike lasted just four days before he filed for an annulment, saying he was drunk and didn’t really mean to get hitched.
Gigi & Zayn
In January, Gigi Hadid, 24, and former One Direction member Zayn Malik, 26, confirmed they’d quit their on/off relationship.
Bradley & Irina
Did Gaga play a part in Bradley Cooper and model Irina Shayk’s break–up after four years in June? All parties denied it, but many fans weren’t convinced and accused her of being the ‘other woman’. The duo share 2–year-old daughter Lea De Seine.
Ian & Ryan
After four years together and plans to start a family, Olympic hero Ian Thorpe, 37, and his first love Ryan Channing, 29, went separate ways in June. Things
were briefly looking up when they reunited just two months later, but it was all over again by early November.
Jeff & MacKenzie
In by far the most expensive break-up of all time, the world’s richest man, Amazon boss Jeff Bezos, 55, and wife MacKenzie, 49, announced they were separating after 25 years of marriage and four kids. Her divorce settlement, announced in April, was $56billion and made her the planet’s fourth richest woman.
Lady Gaga & Christian
Gaga’s engagement to Christian Carino was over in February – just days before her big Oscar win and sizzling performance with A Star Is Born co-star Bradley Cooper got the romance rumour mill whirring. It was unlucky-in-love Gaga’s second broken engagement, having split with actor Taylor Kinney in 2016.
