When Gogglebox star Jad Nehmetallah was papped looking very cosy with The Bachelor’s Bella Varelis this week, fans immediately started speculating that the pair could be Australia’s hot new reality TV romance.

In photos obtained by Woman’s Day, Jad and the Bachie frontrunner were seen hugging outside Jad’s cafe The Picnic in Burwood, in Sydney’s inner west.
According to onlookers, the pair appeared to be in high spirits as a Bella joked around with Jad, who stars alongside his close friends Matty and Sarah Marie Fahd on Gogglebox.
“There was definitely some chemistry – she was very happy and laughing at everything he was saying,” one onlooker said.
“As they said goodbye he gave her a very tight hug… they seemed to be very close.”
A source close to the Sydney-based stars told Woman’s Day the pair would make a really good match.
“They have a stack of mutual friends and definitely travel in the same circles,” dished the insider.
“They’re often being invited to the same events, and she is without a doubt Jad’s type of woman.”
But Bella insisted they’re just mates, telling the publication: “It just so happens my long-time friend Jad owns the same cafe and he was there that day.”
And now Jad himself has broken his silence on rumours the pair are dating, confirming their relationship is purely platonic.
“Bella and I have known each other for a while… And even though she’s a beautiful girl, we’re just mates,” he told LifeStyle.
Earlier this month, Jad broke his silence on rumours he could become Australia’s next Bachelor, after fans begged him to star on the show.
The 34-year-old said he’d been inundated with requests and questions from fans about whether he’d go on the reality TV program.
“It’s insane how many people online and in person have been mentioning it,” he told Lifestyle.com.au.
But Jad shut down the rumours, explaining he’s happy with where he’s at now.
“I am interested in finding love and starting a family, but I’m having way too much fun with Matty and Sarah Marie on the couch on Gogglebox to do anything else.”
The restauranteur and cafe owner is a huge hit with female fans, with many frequently taking to the comments section on his Instagram account to leave flirty remarks.
“I’ve said it many times … you’re absolutely gorgeous,” one fan commented recently on Jad’s Instagram, while another joked, “I think I just got pregnant.”
