He’s appeared in two (soon to be three) seasons of Australian Survivor and taken out a legendary $5.8 million win on the American series Deal or No Deal Island, but deep down, David Genat is a big old softie who’s crazy for his family.
Learn all about the Golden God and his wife and three kids below.
Prior to Survivor, David worked as a model.
Now, the Golden God is considered reality TV royalty.
Yes! David is married to Pearl Christensen, a movement coach and personal trainer.
David and Pearl don’t often share photos of each other on social media but their relationship goes back to at least 2013 when the movement coach shared a sweet photo of David planting a kiss on her cheek.
Pearl also shared a heartfelt message for her man on Instagram after his big Survivor win in 2020.
“So proud of this incredible human,” she wrote.
“He is always up for a challenge, digs into learning new things, tolerates immense stress with grace, doesn’t ever give up and somehow makes almost everything fun. So happy to be in Australia with him.”
David shares sons Winston and Hugo with his ex-wife, Kathleen, and a daughter named Rei with his current wife, Pearl.
He is also a stepfather to Pearl’s eldest daughter from a former relationship.
“I love them to bits,” David said about his children on Survivor in 2019. “I try to think of everything I do as a way to help them.”
“Just to have unbridled love right in front of your face and just remembering what that’s about and why you’re out here, it’s just such a good recharge.”
David is gearing up to compete on the 2025 season of Survivor, Australia V The World.
It’s also rumoured he’ll host Australian Survivor from 2026, following Jonathan LaPaglia’s shocking axing.
