Following the success of the 2024 season, Titans V. Rebels, Australian Survivor is confirmed to be returning for another year with a brand new twist.
Confirming the news in September 2024, Paramount announced that the reality survival series will be returning for a double-season special in 2025.
Debuting in February, the first of the Survivor season to air will see contestants revisit the battle of strategy over strength in Australian Survivor: Brains V. Brawn II.
Although there had been murmurs of an Australia V. USA Survivor spin-off, Paramount has confirmed that the second Survivor season of 2025 will go global for a world-first edition of Survivor: Australia V. The World.
While the complete cast list for the Australia V. The World crossover series has yet to be revealed, Paramount announced that Australian Survivor fan favourites George Mladenov, Shonee Bowtell, and Kirby Bentley will be making their return to the island alongside their Aussie tribemates.
As for the other tribe, Survivor legends from across South Africa, Norway, New Zealand, and America will face off against the group of Australian Survivor alumni, with three-time Survivor competitor Parvati Shallow, two-time winner Tony Vlachos, and four-time competitor Cirie Fields confirmed to be joining the island.
While little is known yet about the two seasons, Australian Survivor: Brains V. Brawn II has been confirmed to be returning to the picturesque shores of Samoa.
Although information surrounding the second spin-off is limited, applications for the 2025 standalone series of Australian Survivor formerly closed at 11:59 pm Sunday, May 19, 2024.
The application portal also teased that contestants must be “physically and mentally strong enough to survive in some of the toughest conditions ever experienced,” leading many fans to believe that the next instalment will be one of the biggest seasons yet!
Before confirming the theme of the latest Survivor crossover series, Inside Survivor reported that the new Australia V. The World spin-off season may be a condensed version of the competition, with the publication reporting that the competitor’s time on the island may potentially be less than have of Survivor’s typical 50-day tenure.
