Australian Olympian Emily Seebohm and Married At First Sight Star Ryan Gallagher have reportedly called off their engagement.
The couple, who announced their engagement in 2022 and welcomed their son in 2023, sent the rumour mill into overdrive in recent weeks when they unfollowed each other on Instagram, leading many to believe the couple had split.
After Emily was spotted without her engagement ring on, a source has since confirmed to Sky News Australia that the couple had ended their relationship.
“Ryan and Emily are trying to find a new normal, which has been a real process,” the source told the publication. “There’s a lot of healing still to be done.”
“Their number one priority is Sampson and ensuring he continues to feel supported by both parents.”
The source also suggested that Ryan, who had relocated to Brisbane to be closer to Emily’s family, had since moved out and that the pair “haven’t felt the need to make public statements.”
At this stage, neither Ryan nor Emily have responded to the reports.
The pair first confirmed their relationship in December 2022 after meeting on the set of the Channel 10 series The Challenge.
In September 2023, Emily and Ryan welcomed their first child together, a son named Sampson.
“We didn’t want [a name that was] super crazy. We wanted something that was going to be unique,” Emily previously hinted to Courier Mail, before giving birth to her son.
“The last 10 days have been the best of my life to date, Sampson Ryan Seebohm has changed our lives and we bloody love him he’s perfect,” Ryan shared on Instagram to share their news.
