With her strong, athletic physique and tough, no-nonsense attitude, Pink often comes across more like a superhero than a pop star.

That was until an undisclosed health issue proved she was a mere mortal after all by forcing the musician to call off a concert in Switzerland on July 3 during her Summer Carnival world tour.

“I am so sorry that I have had to cancel my show in Bern this Wednesday,” she told fans via Instagram. “I do everything I can to ensure I can perform for you every night, but after consultation with my doctor and exploring all options available, I’ve been advised that I’m unable to continue with the show tomorrow.”

After a few days of rest, she was back on stage doing what she loves best in Denmark. “Ready to kick some ass!” she posted on July 6 ahead of her concert in Copenhagen.

While Pink hasn’t disclosed the nature of the medical condition that forced her to take some time out, she posted a snap on Insta Stories of herself using a steam inhaler before her next gig.

Picking up a virus during her travels wouldn’t come as a surprise for the star who has been maintaining a gruelling schedule since she kicked off her tour in June 2023.

During that time, her year has swung from dizzying highs to devastating lows.

In February, Pink jetted Down Under, performing her sellout shows that took her right around the country (and briefly over to New Zealand) for the next month and a half.

Live Nation revealed that nearly one million tickets had been sold to her Summer Carnival shows here, the most of any female headliner in Australia and New Zealand.

While this news would normally dominate headlines, coming just weeks after Taylor Swift’s visit to Australia, Pink’s achievement went largely under the radar.

“I have a friend who’s Pink’s background singer and my friend said she’s really just pi–ed off no-one’s talking about the fact that she’s also selling out stadiums,” singer Sam Fischer told the Ricki Lee, Tim & Joel Show. “Pink is out here riding her bike around the Opera House saying, ‘I’m here too!’ It’s kind of funny everyone’s talking about Beyoncé and Taylor doing the stadium shows, but Pink’s also out here selling them all out.”

The snub was followed by another heartbreak when, just weeks later, Pink was forced to say goodbye to her daughter, Willow. The 13-year-old had been joining her mother on stage to perform their duet, “Cover Me in Sunshine”, until her shows in Glasgow on June 28 and 29.

The very talented teen, whose passion is musical theatre, has picked up a role in a production of Bye Bye Birdie.

“This weekend’s shows were Willow’s last few on tour before she takes time away to follow her dreams,” Pink proudly shared on socials. “I promised I wouldn’t cry. I did not however, promise I wouldn’t hyperventilate through our hug.
