Rupert Grint and longtime partner Georgia Groome have quietly welcomed their second child.
Sharing the exciting news on Instagram, the Harry Potter star captioned the announcement, “‘Secret Child Slightly Revealed’ Introducing Goldie G. Grint. A 10/10 baby (so far),” alongside a snap of the newborn in a white onesie embroidered with her name, paired with a grey cardigan.
The arrival marks another milestone for the notoriously private pair, who have been together since 2011 and are also parents to daughter Wednesday, born in 2020.

How did Rupert Grint and Georgia Groome meet?
Although the exact timeline of their early romance has not been confirmed, it is believed that Rupert and Georgia first started dating in 2011, shortly after Georgia rose to fame in Angus, Thongs, and Perfect Snogging and Rupert wrapped on Harry Potter.
Despite getting together in the early 2010s, fans were unaware of the couple’s romance until 2018 after a snap of Rupert and Georgia together went viral across social media.
Sharing a rare insight into their relationship, Rupert told Glamour in 2020, “It’s a very natural thing – we’re just best friends.”
“We’re kind of the same person, we think the same way. That’s always made it work; that’s why it’s lasted. It’s hard to pinpoint exactly what it is, but it works and it’s great.”

Rupert and Georgia are the proud parents of two daughters, Wednesday, 5, and newborn Goldie.
Their first daughter, Wednesday, was introduced to the world through Rupert’s Instagram debut in November 2020, which broke records by gaining one million followers in just over four hours.

Shortly after his eldest daughter’s birth, the Harry Potter star made a rare comment on his early experience of fatherhood.
“It was something I never really had much of an idea of, that kind of love. It’s a very different love. It’s very strange. It has definitely changed my perspective on things, but also in a helpful way.”

Following the announcement of their youngest daughter Goldie’s birth in April 2025, the couple’s obstetrician, Dr Alex Digseu, also shared his congratulations.
“Dear Rupert and Georgia. Delivering Goldie and Wednesday has been a privilege for me. You are such a wonderful couple and a beautiful family. Being your obstetrician and looking after Georgia during both pregnancies has been an enjoyable and unforgettable journey. Impossible to forget you all! Congratulations and a big hug. From the bottom of my heart,” he commented.
