Harry Potter alum Rupert Grint and his longtime girlfriend, Georgia Groome, are soon to be parents!

Over the weekend, a representative for the couple— who have been together since 2011— confirmed the exciting news, telling Page Six: “Rupert Grint and Georgia Groome are excited to announce they are expecting a baby and would please ask for privacy at this time,” they told the outlet.
Not long afterwards, Georgia, 28— who starred in the hit 2008 flick Angus, Thongs, And Perfect Snogging— debuted her burgeoning baby bump while stocking up on supplies in North London.
During the outing, the actress sported an oversized black t-shirt and leggings while Rupert rocked a dark coloured jack and green cap.
Although they’re notoriously private about their relationship and steer clear of the spotlight, the future parents sparked marriage rumours late last year when they were photographed wearing matching gold rings. However, after much speculation, a spokesperson for Rupert denied they’d secretly tied the knot.
In spite of this, Rupert, who most recently appeared in the Apple TV+ series Servant, has long been open about his desire to start a family.
“Turning 30 felt strange. It just doesn’t feel like I’m there yet and I don’t know what the future holds,” he told The Guardian in 2018. “I’m just going to go with the flow, keep playing interesting characters, and see what happens. I’d like to settle down and have kids soon.”
Toying with the idea of naming a future son after his beloved Harry Potter character, Ron Weasley, Rupert joked: “If I had a son, would I call him Ron? It’s quite a good name, but probably not. And Grint’s a tough name to pair a one-syllable first name with.”
