Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson has given fans a first glimpse at his new movie, Hobbs and Shaw.
The Fast and the Furious icon took to Instagram to post sneak peek of him alongside co-star Jason Statham in their spin-off film.
“FIRST LOOK: HOBBS & SHAW. We either gonna get along or we gonna get it on. F— getting along 😈
Great first week of shooting our Fast & Furious spin-off, “HOBBS & SHAW” with my ace @jasonstatham.
We’re havin’ a blast disrupting the norm to deliver something fresh, cool, fun and bad ass for the fans,” the star wrote.
Johnson and Statham previously co-starred in three of the Fast and the Furious films, from 2013 to 2017.
The flick is set to pick up from where the final Fate of the Furious left off. Johnson’s character, Agent Luke Hobbs is set to form an unexpected union with criminal Deckard Shaw (Statham).
Deadpool 2 director, David Leitch is set to bring the action to life.
Cast alongside the pair will be actress Vanessa Kirby and Idris Elba.
However, Fast & Furious fans will have to wait another year before the movie hits our screens. Having only just gone into production, Hobbs and Shaw is set to be released on Sept. 2, 2019.
But we’re sure it’ll be worth the wait!
