There are dozens of compelling theories which suggest Abbie Chatfield doesn’t end up winning Matt Agnew’s heart. And while we’ve been told time and time again to take these with a grain of salt, the villain’s former co-star, Emma Roche, wholeheartedly agrees Abbie won’t make it to the final rose ceremony.
Speaking to Yahoo, the Irish born brand manager— who was eliminated during hometown visits last Thursday after Matt chose to keep Helena in the competition— said that while Abbie and Matt have insane sexual chemistry, their connection isn’t strong enough for her to make it to the grand finale.
“He clearly has feelings for her,” she said, referring to Abbie. “They’re spending a lot of time together, they’re pashing on. It’s hard to tell but I think that there might be that little bit more of a spark with the other two.”
“[Matt] obviously has a connection with everybody. I’d probably put it down to between Chelsie and Helena.”

Abbie has since all but confirmed that Emma was right all along. Last night, fellow Bachie villain Rachael Arahill broke Channel 10’s strict protocol by sharing a photo with her former co-star, Abbie. The controversial contestant captioned the snap, “Naughty two forever.”
While at first glance it seems like an innocent post, the hidden meaning behind the shot is perhaps the biggest spoiler we’ve seen to date.
You see, there are rigid social media policies in place meaning that if Abbie was to have won the astrophysicist’s heart, she would presumably be cautious about featuring in any photographs which have not been approved by the Network. And clearly the network kicked up a stink seeing as the picture was swiftly removed moments after it was posted.

So if Abbie doesn’t win, who does? Well, a series of insiders recently told New Idea that Chelsie was gifted the final rose. However, since filming wrapped, the source claims her relationship with Matt has fizzled out.
“Chelsie has been really down since the show wrapped and now she has said she isn’t going to do any interviews,” the source told New Idea. “She doesn’t want anything to do with the franchise anymore, despite being under contractual obligations for months to come.”
According to the spy, Matt and Chelsie have been butting heads, with rumours swirling that their relationship could already be over.
“Since the finale, everyone has heard there’s been problem after problem – they were just not seeing eye-to-eye on anything and didn’t have any chemistry. Once the cameras stopped rolling, the sparkle just wore off,” the insider revealed.
But with photos recently emerging showing Abbie jetting off to Matt’s home town, word has spread that her visit could have something to do with Chelsie’s unexpected outburst. And seeing as Matt hasn’t explicitly said that the final contestant he chooses is the woman he ends up with, it adds more weight to theories that Abbie and Matt could be secretly dating.
“Abbie went to Melbourne after the finale [finished filming] and since then she has started to behave really strangely,” the insider dished. “She’s secretly confessed to the other girls that she has a man, but she keeps saying that while she wishes she could tell them more she just can’t.”
“Now everyone is wondering if the secret man is Matt.”
Abbie recently came under fire after footage emerged showing the property analyst “cringing” at the hunky scientist during an unauthorised viewing party for the show’s premiere episode, which took place back in July.
The leaked clip begins with the 23-year-old sitting in front of the TV watching Matt introduce himself before the person filming yells, “Abbie” hoping to capture her response to the scene on camera.
“That’s so cringe,” a disgruntled Abbie groaned as she turned around and pulled a face.
Abbie’s sister Jolie originally shared the video from the boozy viewing party to her Instagram story however she later deleted it— perhaps at Network 10’s request?
