Farmer Wants A Wife’s Farmer Zac enjoyed a solo date with Jessica on Sunday night’s episode.
The date came after the dietician had complained to the other women about feeling uncomfortable on the show and having to fight for his attention.
In a bid to show the apple farmer more of her personality, Jessica organized a slip-and-slide on the property.
“It’s been a really intense couple of days, I’m just keen to do something fun,” she told Zac.
However, it all went pear-shaped when the farmer injured himself after landing weirdly on his wrist, resulting in a trip to the hospital.
“The blind date went off the rails a little bit,” Zac said after the incident. “My wrist blew up when I [slid].”
Although the other women on the farm, particularly Miranda, weren’t too happy to see Jessica and Zac leave together to get his wrist looked at, the good news was that when Zac did arrive back on the farm, he announced that no one would be going home because he felt he hadn’t had a chance to get to know everyone well enough to lose anyone just yet.
‘It’s just not getting any better’
Speaking to WHO, Zac revealed that months on, his wrist hasn’t been the same.
“My finger got caught in the matting, and then my wrist rolled over my hand, and then I landed on my wrist and squished it.”
“It’s still bothering me,” he explained. “I’ve torn a couple of ligaments in my wrist, and it’s something that you have to let heal over sort of 8-12 months, but because I’m always flat out busy, it’s just not getting any better.”
“I struggle to lift – it’s certain angles where I can’t push or pull down, not ideal, but we just push through it.”
He shared that he’d had “a couple of steroid injections”, but “it’s really not getting any better at the moment”.
Zac quipped that the date was unexpectedly quite “dangerous”.

‘I was really concerned’
When asked whether he could see Jessica was struggling with the ‘competition’ aspect of the show, Zac shared, “Yeah I could see it at the time and I was really concerned for how she was feeling and going through it.
“It was pretty obvious to see, I remember it being so early on, I was a bit worried myself about what to do and how to go about it.
“I probably didn’t come to her the best I could have, but I could definitely see she was struggling a little bit through it.”
He also explained that in the craziness of it all, he didn’t even realise the tension from the other ladies on the farm, who were upset that Jessica stayed, despite not being sure if she wanted to be there.
“I was trying to focus on what was happening then and there, and maybe missed some other signs from the other ladies,” Zac said. “I was very, very concerned for Jess, and I was like, at the end of the day, I know it was a wild experience to be in, but I wanted to make sure everyone was happy, or as happy as they could.
“If they weren’t, then I was absolutely not going to force them to stay or anything like that.”
He added, “I don’t think anyone really had any idea of what we’re getting ourselves into until you’re there living it.”
