Farmer Wants A Wife is finally back in our lives, and on Tuesday night, the first 24-hour dates kicked off, with apple farmer Zac choosing to bring Grace back to the farm. Zac told WHO that he and Grace “had a great little connection at the start” and that their conversations felt fun and natural, making her the obvious choice for his first date.
“I think there was definitely more to discover there on our first date,” he said.
Sparks were flying and the pair even shared a cheeky kiss, but the farmer admitted he had an “awkward” realisation during the kiss and it’s something he still doesn’t feel totally comfortable about.

During their 24-hour date, Zac and Grace wandered through the apple farm, had a cute moment in the rain, and Zac even baked an apple crumble!
“It would be nice to get a little kiss tonight, but I can’t read Zac,” Grace said during the date.
She jokingly added to the cameras, “It’s feeling a bit ‘bros’ at the moment,” hinting that she was hoping to find out if they have chemistry.
Meanwhile, Zac told the producers that he always has a “fear of rejection” in the back of his mind on dates.
“I don’t want to make a fool of myself,” he explained.
As they sat down for a candlelit date to end the night, Grace decided there was a sure-fire way to decipher between romantic connection or friendly vibes.
“We get along really well, I kind of just want to make sure we’re not just friend vibes, because I do like you and I do see this, so I want to make sure you’re on the same page,” Grace told him.
Zac explained that he’s always struggled to show affection to someone new and to make the first move, adding that it felt “so unnatural” – probably even more so with cameras surrounding them!
Taking matters into her own hands, Grace asked him, “Do you mind if I kiss you?”
He shyly responded, “Do you mind if I kiss you?”

‘So scared of rejection’
After the kiss, he told the cameras that he was glad that she made the first move, which rings true with what he told WHO – that it’s a “green flag” when a woman makes the first move.
Speaking about the kiss, Zac said, “I remember at the time, I’ve always said I’ve been horrible at making first moves, and I’m just so scared of rejection.
“It’s one of those things when she asked, it was just that relief of, oh, she’s here for me and she wants to see where this can go.”
He joked that while he wished he’d made the first move, he was just glad that she wanted to go in for a kiss.
Zac told us he appreciated knowing what was going to happen rather than working the kiss up in his head.
That being said, however, kissing someone new in front of cameras? That’s got to be an odd feeling!
“It’s still exciting, obviously, but I mean, all my first kisses back in the day, it’s always something that I want to share with the person and for it to be a special moment,” he explained, adding it didn’t feel very “natural” to have cameras in your face for a moment like that.
Farmer Zac’s ‘awkward’ realisation mid-kiss
“I’m always worried about how I’m going to come across, and I just want to make sure that the lady’s comfortable as well,” Zac told us. “And it’s not something that she feels like she’s being forced into or anything like that.”
He jokingly added, “I’m just thinking my mates are going to see this, so it needs to be a decent kiss. I’m not going to hear the end of it if it’s not!”
The farmer also shared that his friends and family have all been saying to him, “I can’t believe we’re going to have to watch you kiss.”
He explained that in his family, PDA isn’t a big thing, but he felt “awkward” about his parents watching him kissing women on TV.
