We’re only a few episodes into the new season of Farmer Wants A Wife, but we’ve already seen several ladies leave of their own accord.

On Monday night’s episode at the Annual Country Ball, Farmer Zac found himself caught in the middle of drama between the women vying for his affection.

Jess had already expressed doubts on Sunday night, admitting she hated competing for Zac’s attention. While winning a one-on-one date briefly turned things around, the reality of the show caught up to her at the ball.

However, on Monday night, at the Country Ball, Jess decided she’d had enough of the experience and told Zac that she wanted to go home, so they said their goodbyes, leaving the other women on his farm very happy.

“Seeing Zac and Miranda dance together, obviously that’s hard to watch, I feel like I’m getting in the way of other people’s connections,” Jess told the cameras before her departure, adding she felt insecure and was lacking confidence.

“She should take herself home out of respect for everyone else, if she can’t handle this, because it’s not getting any easier,” Miranda said to the other girls.

Farmer Zac responds: “I wasn’t going to force them to stay”

Speaking to WHO about Jess’ struggles, Zac said, “I could see it at the time, and I was really concerned for how she was feeling and going through. It was pretty obvious to see.”

He shared that he might not have “comforted her” as well as he could have.

“I was very, very concerned for her, and at the end of the day, I know it’s a wild experience to be in, but I wanted to make sure everyone was happy, or as happy as they could be.

“And if they weren’t then I was absolutely not going to force them to stay.”

He added that he didn’t think any of them “had any idea” of what they were getting themselves into.

Missing the red flags

While Zac noticed Jess’ distress, he admitted he was completely blind to the friction brewing between the women—including Miranda, whom he shared a cheeky kiss with at the ball.

“I didn’t really notice what was going on behind my back with the other ladies,” he confessed, seemingly referring to Miranda’s comments about Jess. “I was sort of trying to focus on what was happening then and there, and maybe missed some other signs.”
