They’re the super-close Melbourne duo whose witty observations make us laugh while watching Gogglebox Australia.

Now back for their fifth season on the couch, WHO catches up with LGBTQI+ charity worker Tim, 43, and his sister Leanne, 31 – who runs her own signage design business – to dish on their bond, being a little bit famous and why they love to banter about TV …

What’s the best thing about being on Gogglebox together?

TIM It’s going to sound really soppy, but the best thing is getting to spend the time with Leanne. We’re two peas in a pod. I kind of feel sorry for our middle brother because he’s the family introvert. Leanne and I are so close, we recently went on a four-hour – one way – road trip to [Victoria’s] Apollo Bay just to get a scallop pie together.

LEANNE By being on Gogglebox, I love that Tim and I get to do our most favourite things together: eat, drink and gossip about TV.

After all your time on the show, do you get recognised much in public?

LEANNE All the time, and even when I’m on my own. Thanks to my hair, you can spot me from a mile away.

TIM I never get recognised when I’m on my own but I think that’s because I genuinely think I have the most generic Asian man face. I love getting spotted when I’m with Leanne though. I think we’ve perfected our selfie faces now.

Tim, people are often surprised by your age. What’s the secret to your youthful looks?

I think it’s just good family genes. When my mum found out that people were surprised by my age, she was like, “Are you joking? They should just come see me!” Mum, who is Leanne and I on steroids, is in her 60s but she looks 40.

What shows do you love – and hate – to watch on Gogglebox?

LEANNE My favourites are the shows I think I’m going to hate. Anything gory or terrifying that will make me scream or throw up …

TIM Not on my couch you’re not! For me, I think every show on Lifestyle Food. I cannot wait for the return of The Real Housewives of Melbourne though – my fiancé and I are obsessed! I’m living for that show to turn up when I’m on Gogglebox one day soon.
