He couldn’t make it work with his Love Island girlfriend Cartier Surjan, but Adam Farrugia could be taking the next big step with his new love, Renee Ashley.
In an Instagram Q&A on Wednesday night, the season two star answered his fans’ most pressing questions but it was Renee’s input into one question that sent tongues wagging.
When asked about future plans, Adam mused: “Hopefully get some travelling in, that would be nice,” but was then interrupted by his girlfriend who chimed in: “And a proposal!”
Judging by his reaction we won’t be holding our breath for Adam to pop the question but it seems like things are getting serious!
The Love Island star also admitted in his Q&A that he has no regrets about appearing on the show and that he’s still in contact with some of his former co-stars.
Adam also shared some more insights into how he and Renee met via Instagram.
“She actually was a fan!” he revealed, in response to a fan asking “If you were single would you date a fan?”
The couple first went public on Instagram back in January when the tattooed plasterer, 28, shared two photos from a romantic getaway to Loch Ard Gorge in Victoria’s Port Campbell, featuring himself and Renee.
“Yesterday was fun,” he wrote at the time alongside a love heart emoji. “Flying back home today… not so fun.”
Adam’s Love Island ex has also moved on and is currently dating rugby league player, Jake Simpkin.
The brunette beauty shared her first photo with her new boyfriend earlier this month much to the delight of fans.
“My ♥️,” she simply captioned her snap.
On Love Island Cartier and Adam’s romance fizzled and the former chose to re-couple with Matthew Zukowski, whom she went on to achieve second place with.
“As bad as it would sound, it was a good thing,” Adam told Now To Love shortly after his elimination.
“I felt I was happy. I was happy that she [Cartier] had an opportunity in there to make a more of a connection with Matt before the end.”
“We were really good together but you know, as time goes on sometimes things change.”
