For weeks, Jessika Power has been trying to convince Australia that her relationship with former Married At First Sight star Nick Furphy is legitimate. However, like many of us, her ex-boyfriend and on-screen ‘husband’ Dan Webb isn’t convinced!
Last night the former MAFS star revealed he’s sceptical about the whole situation, claiming they’re definitely faking it for publicity.

“That relationship with Nick? Real? Yeah, I don’t know. Define real! I’ll leave it at that, but I don’t think [it’s genuine],” said Dan, who endured an ill-fated marriage to Jess during his appearance on the controversial dating series.
There might be some truth to Dan’s claims. New paparazzi snaps obtained by the Daily Mail have emerged showing the controversialMarried At First Sight star pretending— I repeat, PRETENDING— to be pregnant while enjoying a “romantic date” with Nick at Melbourne’s Luna Park.
After a huge meal, Jess— who was pictured tucking into a corn dog before chowing down some fairy floss— stopped for a staged photoshoot where she invited Nick to kiss and touch her imaginary baby bump. Jess was later seen cradling her stomach as Nick looked adoringly at her food baby.
Their weak attempt to convince us they’re expecting their first child together comes days after Nick’s former MAFS co-star Telv Williams also claimed their relationship is one big publicity stunt.
“I think it’s a publicity stunt… straight out,” the controversial star said.
As expected, the administration officer hit back, refuting Telv’s claims.
“I am sick of defending myself over Telv and his lies. I really wish he would just leave me alone and let me live my life. I’m very happy with Nick, he’s a great person and someone I can see myself settling for. His “friends” should be happy for him.”
Although Telv, and the rest of Australia, are convinced they’re faking their romance, Married At First Sight’s resident relationship expert Melissa Schilling said she picked it from the start.
After Jessika uploaded a photo to Instagram from their romantic date night, Nick commented: “I went on the wrong season hey @melschilling1.”
This was my plan all along,” Mel cheekily responded, adding a winkey face emoji.
“I knew it,” Jessika responded.
Nick then replied to Mel, writing: “That’s why you’re the expert.”

Earlier this month, Jessika confirmed her new love interest, telling the Daily Mail that while their romance is still new, they’re happy to be spending time in each other’s company.
“Nick and I can confirm we have started to see each other,” the controversial Australian star told the outlet. “At the moment it’s very new for both of us.”
“We’re actually in a relationship,” said Nick who was ‘married’ to Sharon Marsh on season four of the reality series. “It’s only been a few days [but we’ve] been talking for a few weeks.”
