Wednesday night’s episode of MasterChef had viewers pointing out a pretty hilarious editing fail… and did you notice it?
WATCH: MasterChef editing fail shows Melissa Leong in two places at once
Viewers realised that new judge Melissa Leong was appearing in two places at once, as the chopped up footage to create suspense ended up as a blundered mess!
Leading up to the end of the Mystery Box challenge, Melissa counted down the seconds while standing at the front of the kitchen.
In the very next scene (which we assume is happening right after Melissa screams), she can be seen standing behind contestant Reynold Poernomo.
Hilarious!
“Come on! Two minutes to go,” her fellow judge Zonfrillo Jock shouted, with Melissa standing right next to him. Beside her stood the third judge, Andy Allen.
As the camera cut to Reynold in the next instant, who was still shelling his lobster (with only seconds to go!) viewers saw Melissa behind him, which is on the opposite end of where she was supposedly standing.
In the shot, Melissa was chatting to contestant Callum Hann.
“Did anyone else just pick up on that editing fail? Melissa on two sides of the room at once,” one viewer tweeted.
The editing mistake started to snowball on social media, as more and more viewers noticed.
While it’s a shocking fail, it’s nothing compared to the editing fails that came out of reality show Married At First Sight this year.
The most disastrous came during a commitment ceremony, with groom Steve Burley having stubble one minute, with the next scene showing him clean shaven!
