We have great news for the rom-com fans as a date has been confirmed for the playful movie One Night Only.
Directed by Will Gluck (Anyone But You), the film is based on the director’s rewrite of Travis Braun’s Black List script, which is both provocative and hilarious.
What has us buzzing even more is the cast, and sure, we’ve got a whole year to wait before it hits the big screen, but we’re already counting down the days.

What is One Night Only about?
One Night Only takes place in an alternate reality where premarital sex is illegal except for one night each year.
As you can imagine, it’s giving Purge-like energy as individuals try to make the most of the night before the ban is put back in place.
Two strangers find their paths colliding on this evening, sparking a very chaotic journey across the city.
With temptation everywhere and some unhinged encounters taking place, the pair find their own unexpected chemistry in a race to make the night memorable.
It’s based on a 2019 Black List script by Seth Gilbert which created a lot of buzz over the concept and satirical nature.
Who is in the cast of One Night Only?
The cast for this movie is great, with co-stars Callum Turner (Masters of the Air, The Boys in the Boat, AND Dua Lipa‘s boyfriend) and Monica Barbaro (Top Gun: Maverick, A Complete Unknown), bringing the heat and the awkwardness to this once-a-year fling.
The supporting actors are yet to be revealed, but with Will Gluck’s casting history being a 10/10 (hello Sydney Sweeney and Glenn Powell), we will be in for a treat.
When is One Night Only coming out?
One Night Only is set to hit the big screen on August 7, 2026.
