Eight years after they last rocked our shores, Green Day is making their long-awaited return to Australia in 2025.
Bringing their catalogue of rock classics, such as American Idiot and 21 Guns, the band have teased an anthology-style setlist, captioning their tour announcement, “We’re playing Dookie in full 🤘 We’re playing American Idiot in full 🤘 We’re playing some new songs 🤘 We’re playing some old songs 🤘 Don’t miss out on getting those tickets!!!”
Speaking on the news, the band told The Daily Telegraph, “Australia has always been a big stop for us. I feel like you guys really understand rock ‘n’ roll, and it’s great to be around people that… celebrate rock ‘n’ roll and have so many great heroes to its name.”

Is Green Day coming to Australia?
Good news rock fans, Green Day will return to Australia in March 2025.
The group, consisting of band members Billy Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt. and Tré Cool. previously toured Down Under as part of their mammoth 120-dat Revolution Radio World Tour in early 2017.
Where is Green Day performing in Australia?
Green Day will be taking to the stage for three shows across Australia’s east coast, performing in Melbourne, Sydney, and the Gold Coast.
The tour dates for the Australian leg of Green Day’s The Saviors Tour are as follows:
- March 1, 2025 – Marvel Stadium, Melbourne
- March 3, 2025 – ENGIE Stadium, Sydney
- March 5, 2025 – CBUS Super Stadium, Gold Coast
