Get to know the city through the stories of music's biggest stars.

From the first rock ‘n roll show at The Roundhouse in 1966, London’s borough of Camden has evolved into a hotspot of music and creativity.

With its iconic venues welcoming acts such as The Doors, Led Zeppelin, Blondie, and Jimi Hendrix to their stages, the Camden music scene has become one of the most legendary launchpads for the industry’s biggest stars.

Taking viewers on a trip from the vibrant punk scene of the 1980s to the guerilla gigs of the 2000s, Camden offers a rare backstage glimpse at the stories behind London’s most renowned music venues told by the artists who shaped them.

What is Camden about?

Camden is a four-part documentary series that deep dives into the rich musical history of the north London suburb of Camden.

Tracing back to the punk-rock boom of 1980s Britain, the documentary explores how the former railway hub transformed into one of the United Kingdom’s most musically influential suburbs, with archival footage transporting viewers back to some of the most pivotal moments in the careers of multiple music icons.

Featuring interviews with some of music’s most beloved artists, such as Dua Lipa, Coldplay’s Chris Martin, Mark Ronson, Boy George, and Noel Gallagher, the series sheds light on many of the untold stories written in the walls of Camden’s music venues.
