No stranger to being mum-shamed, Pink has rushed to Jessica Simpson’s defence after she copped backlash for letting her daughter Maxwell “Maxi” Drew, 7, dye the ends of her hair purple.

Taking to Instagram over the weekend, the “Give Me A Reason” singer showed her support by letting her eight-year-old daughter Willow Sage also change her hair colour.
“I heard people were bummed on Jessica Simpson for letting her seven-year-old get her hair colored,” Pink captioned the photo showing her dyeing her daughter’s hair blue two days after Jessica, 39, posted the snap of Maxi. “So we thought we’d share what we did yesterday.”
The mother of two added several hashtags to the post, including “blue hair don’t care” and “get your own kids.”
When Jessica posted her shared Maxi’s new hairstyle, critics quickly swarmed the post, with many slamming the American actress for her “irresponsible” actions.
“Why start ruining her hair so young,” one Instagrammer said in the comments.
“Don’t like it at all !!! Much better before the color. The new color makes her look older than her age,” another added. “Isn’t she too young to have her hair dyed?”
Although the majority of the comments were negative, many were in support.
“She looks adorable and I’m laughing at all of you clutching your pearls because of hair dye. Your poor kids must have the most boring lives!” said one user.
“Do people really have to mum shame! What jess does with her children is her business. It looks great!!❤️” another added.
Last month, Pink had some choice words for all those mum-shamers out there. The beloved pop star— who’s no stranger to being trolled on social media— once again hit back at the “parenting police” after sharing a photo of her daughter Willow and son Jameson running through the grass while the sprinklers were on.
“Here’s a picture of my child running through water. It wasn’t even filtered. What a waste of water,” she wrote, taking a subtle swipe at anyone who was planning to put her on blast. “And no helmet? I hope she had sunscreen. If she slips and falls she may be traumatized for life. And her mother wasn’t even there. I was….. gasp…. working!!!! In another country!”

That wasn’t the first time the pop sensation— who’s married to professional motocross competitor, Carey Hart— has put mummy-shamers on blast. In March, Pink posted a photo of her son interacting with a pelican without his nappie on. Although she scribbled out his nude bottom, the “What About Us” singer was so badly bullied online, she told Ellen DeGeneres on The Ellen DeGeneres Show that she was done posting photos of her little ones.
“People went as far as saying someone should call child services because he didn’t have a diaper on and how dare I … some of the nastiest things,” Pink recalled on the show. “I cried so hard after that because I like to share my family. It’s my proudest moment. I’m prouder of my kids than anything I’ve done in my whole life.”
She continued: “I just won’t share them anymore,” she said. “I won’t do it. I’m not posting pictures of them anymore. I understand people saying, ‘You need to be more careful because you are in the public eye and you should have thought of that.’ And they’re right. But there’s a nicer way to say that.”
