If you’re a fan of reality TV and celebrity goss, your latest binge is about to hit streaming next week. Netflix’s Gossip Girl meets Keeping up with the Kardashians reality show, titled Calabasas Confidential, is featuring the uber wealthy lifestyles of Calabasas’ most infamous nepo babies.
The series, premiering May 29, will feature the lives of celebrity ‘children’ and content creators living in the affluent Los Angeles suburb of Calabasas as they navigate college, friendship, relationships, and – most importantly – life in the spotlight.
But what about their celebrity parents that granted them the nepo baby lifestyle?
Look no further.
The celebrity parents linked to Calabasas Confidential
Larsa Pippen

Arguably one of the most strategic cast members of Calabasas Confidential is Preston Pippen, with Kardashian-adjacent and NBA legacy parents that truly put other nepo babies to shame.
Preston’s mum, Larsa Pippen, is arguably what makes her son so relevant to the Calabasas Confidential eco-system.
Rising to fame through her time on The Real Housewives of Miami, Larsa is known for her longstanding friendship with the Kardashian family, which has been clear through multiple appearances on Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
While Larsa is no longer as close with the Kardashians, both her and Kim Kardashian have commented publicly on what caused the distance between them and confirmed there is no bad blood between the pair, particularly since Kim is Larsa’s daughter Sophia Pippen’s godmother.
On January 28 this year, Kim confirmed this on Khloé Kardashian’s podcast (Khloé in Wonderland) and said the distance in their friendship came around the time Kim was dealing with her Kanye drama and Larsa was dealing with her divorce with NBA star Scottie Pippen.
“I love Larsa,” Kim said on the podcast. “You know, I love her kids.”
“I think that was a transition when, I think she was going through a divorce, and Kanye and I were, you know, having some issues, and it just kind of… distanced ourselves for a little bit,” she said. “And, she moved to Miami, but I like, love her… our kids go to school together. We’ll always have so many memories and so much love there.”

Now, Larsa continues to be a main cast member on The Real House Wives of Miami, is a Fashion Nova ambassador, and has been working on multiple business ventures over the years ranging from her jewellery brand ‘Larsa Marie’ and her collaboration with entrepreneurs Adam Weitsman and Oliver Camilo for a liquor brand, Olujo Tequila.
However, as is the fate of most (if not all) tabloid celebrities, she’s also known for her romantic relationships and dating life — most notably her marriage to former NBA star Scottie Pippen (Preston’s father) from 1997 to 2021.
After the pair’s divorce, Larsa most recently dated pro-basketballer Jeff Coby.
However, the reality TV star is known most for her on-and-off two-year relationship with Marcus Jordan (Michael Jordan’s son) due to their 16-year age gap and their complex family ties.
Scottie was Michael Jordan’s former Chicago Bulls teammate.
However, it seems like Larsa, and her four children, have not been set back too much by life in the spotlight as Preston is ready to follow in his mother’s footsteps and brave the world of reality TV.
Scottie Pippen

Scottie Pippen, Preston’s father, is one of the most famous basketball players from the 1990s.
While he doesn’t fit as squarely into the reality TV world his son is entering, his sporting career is enough to affirmatively declare Preston a nepo baby.
Scottie won six NBA championships with the Chicago Bulls alongside Michael Jordan, solidifying the Bull’s global NBA fame during the team’s “Dream Team” era.
To put it plainly, Scottie was a player during the Bulls’ 1990s dynasty.
If you know nothing about sports or the NBA, knowing he was closely associated with Michael Jordan should be enough to hint at his immense fame.

Outside of his sporting career, Pippen made tabloid headlines through his split with Larsa, his family’s increasing visibility online through their associations with the Kardashians, and his ongoing feud with Michael Jordan after the Netflix docuseries The Last Dance was released in 2020.
Scottie claimed that Jordan only elevated himself and none of his other Chicago Bulls teammates.
Bret Michaels

Bret Michaels, Raine Michaels’ father, rose to fame as the lead singer of one of the biggest rock bands of the late 1980s and early 1990s, Poison.
The band sold over 65 million albums worldwide and 30 million records in the United States, and is known for defining the rock-n-roll scene on the Sunset Strip.
After branching out into the solo-artist sphere, releasing albums like Songs of Life (2003) and Freedom of Sound (2005), Michaels is also known for his days in front of and behind the camera as the director, producer, and reality TV superstar on reality shows Rock Of Love With Bret Michaels, Life As I Know It, and Rock My RV With Bret Michaels.
As he has firmly planted himself as a long-lasting nostalgia act, he has also been known as a figure open about his various health struggles, ranging from his brain hemorrhage survival in 2010 and his Type 1 diabetes diagnosis.
What better than major music hits and public vulnerability to prepare a child for their time in the spotlight!
Master P (Percy Robert Miller)

Hercy Miller’s father Percy Robert Miller, 56, is known by his stage name ‘Master P’, a Southern hip-hop master who gained popularity in the 1990s through hits like Mr. Ice Cream Man and the platinum single Make ‘Em Say Uhh!.
Percy is most known for founding the independent rap label ‘No Limit Records’ which helped pioneer artist-owned rap business models, and allowed him to expand into the fashion, TV, film, and commercial world.
It’s no surprise then that his son Romeo Miller, Hercy’s older brother, experienced young fame as a child rapper in the 2000s.
Master P also founded No Limit Sports Management in 1998 as an extension of his entertainment empire and was created to bridge the gap between sports and hip-hop, representing athletes across the NBA, NFL, and CBA such as NFL star Ricky Williams.
However, while Hercy’s his brother Romeo may have been interested in following in his father’s musical footsteps, it looks like this soon-to-be Calabasas Confidential star is more interested in his father’s sporting ventures as this 24-year-old’s eyes are set on the NBA.
Will he also bridge the gap between entertainment and sports, or mark out his own path?
We’ll have to watch the show to find out.
