While he may be best known as Foreman Dan, Dan Reilly first got his start on The Block in 2012 – competing alongside his wife Dani in both the 2012 and 2013 all-stars seasons.
Since becoming a regular fixture of the show, Foreman Dan not only oversees the construction process but also serves as a mentor to the contestants by providing them with valuable insights from both a construction and competitor point of view.
Despite becoming a household name on the show, fans are eager to learn more about Dan’s life away from the construction site.

Although Dani may not make as many on-screen appearances as her foreman husband, the couple are still heavily involved in the construction and interior design world – launching their design and build business Manna Made in 2016.
Staying close to their home in Melbourne’s Mornington Peninsula, the couple most recently completed a full bottom-up build of a four-bedroom home in the beachside suburb of Blairgowrie, with the couple fetching over $3 million for their joint project.
“Although it will be safe to leave the house, we’re really happy with the final result and are already on the hunt for our next dream project,” Dani told Homes to Love.

After over a decade together, Dan and Dani announced in July 2024 that they were expecting their first child later that year.
“So, who’s going to tell them the pram isn’t theirs?! Baby Reilly incoming late 2024,” the couple wrote alongside a snap of their two dogs, Hazel and Olive, in a baby pram.

When did Foreman Dan join The Block?
After two successful appearances on the show, Dan signed on to The Block as a foreman in 2014 alongside friend and fellow foreman Keith Schleiger.
Following nearly a decade of working alongside each other, Foreman Keith stepped away from the show ahead of the 2024 season. Speaking on his departure, Dan told Nine, “At the start, it was a bit odd as I’ve always had Keith next to me and we are good mates, but I think I slowly grew into it and got more comfortable in the role on my own. I will definitely miss him though.”
While the pair may have butted heads during Dan’s time as a contestant, his transition from ‘foreboy’ to fellow foreman gave Dan a greater appreciation for his friend’s role in The Block.
“It wasn’t until I started doing this job that I realised how hard his role is. It is not a fun thing coming into a near-complete room and telling someone that it has been done wrong and they need to rip it up and redo it,” he told news.com.au.
