Recent Love Island Australia contestants Chris Graudins and Lexy Thornberry have called time on their relationship, only a week after the show’s longest-standing couple, Amelia Plummer and Josh Moss, announced their breakup as well.
Speaking to Daily Mail Australia, Lexy confirmed that she and Chris, who met on season three of the series, had separated.
“Yes, me and Chris have broken up,” she told the publication.
“Chris and I have been put under a lot of pressure our entire relationship with constant external negativity,” she said.
“We felt it was in our best interest to go our separate ways and set out and accomplish some personal goals first and see what the future holds for us.”

The pair, who met on the show at the end of 2021, were not linked until February 2022, when they were pictured holding hands on a night out in Sydney.
This came after a few weeks of very obvious flirting in each other’s Instagram comments.
However, Chris had only very recently separated from Zoe Clish, whom he ‘coupled up’ with on the show, the two leaving the Byron Bay villa in a new and seemingly happy relationship.
They announced their split in December 2021.
Since then, season three winners Mitch Hibberd and Tina Provis have also separated.

This means that officially no couples from the Australian franchise are together anymore, with long-term couple Amelia Plummer and Josh Moss also announcing their split over the last week.
The pair, who met on the first season of the show back in 2018, took to Instagram to announce their separation.
“I felt it was necessary to share that Josh and I have decided to split,” she wrote.
“This was the most heartbreaking yet respectful breakup. After almost 4 years of being together we decided to go our separate ways.
“I don’t know if this comes as a shock because I think we portrayed a happy, healthy relationship. And it was that for the most part, but there was also a lot of challenging moments we didn’t share.
“No relationship is perfect but there are some parts you have to see eye-to-eye.”

While it seems that Love Island-type love is definitely dead, it’s not all bad.
Season one winner Tayla Damir celebrated her engagement to football player Nathan Broad last year, while season two contestant Luke Packham celebrated the arrival of his daughter, Mia, in April.
In fact, it seems life only gets better after the show – and we can’t wait to see what’s next for our current favourite array of single stars!
