MAFS star Nasser Sultan says The Traitors will “bore the audience” because he wasn’t cast

“I would have saved the show's ratings from disaster if they had me on. I smell failure.”

Nasser Sultan, the controversial Married At First Sight star who appeared on the 2018 season of the reality show, has slammed The Traitors Australia

Why? Well, the cast for the upcoming 2026 season of The Traitors was recently announced and Nasser is now claiming that he was supposed to be on the show next year.

“It’s a crime to reality TV viewers not having me on,” Nasser told Yahoo Lifestyle

He went on to say that it was “shocking” when producers chose fellow MAFS star Cam Merchant to participate on next year’s The Traitors instead of him.

Nasser then argued that he’s “more known” than all of the 2026 cast members – AJ Antonios, Alex Nation, Alvin Quah, Claudia Bonifazio, Cosima De Vito, Gamble Breaux, Henry Nicholson, Ian ‘Dicko’ Dickson, Josh & Luke Packham, Keira Maguire, Kirby Bentley, Krissy Marsh, Kween Kong, Lawson Mahoney, Manaaki Hoepo, Rachael Evren, Rhys Nicholson, Rob Farnham, Shane Gould, Tully Smyth, and the aforementioned Cam.

“They obviously want to bore the audience. I would have saved the show’s ratings from disaster if they had me on. I smell failure,” Nasser said.

“When will these shows realise that having Love Island, Big Brother and Survivor people will not get people watching?” he continued.

“People will watch me to see what I would do and say. I would bring viewers and interest.”

Nasser was paired with Gabrielle Bartlett during the 2018 season of MAFS, and they were a turbulent couple to say the least.

Their relationship came to an end when Nasser refused to stay at Gabrielle’s apartment because it was “possessed” and had “a bad vibe”.

Since MAFS, Nasser has spoken out about the show, calling it “scripted” and several of his co-stars “fake”.

He’s also appeared on Pawn Starts Australia, Trial By Kyle, and First Dates.
