He was the first Married At First Sight groom of 2021 to be identified and some viewers may already be familiar with Bryce Ruthven.

Back in September, Bryce was first identified when Daily Mail Australia reported that he had taken three months of leave from his from his job hosting the afternoon and weekend breakfast shifts on Canberra radio station HIT 104.7FM.

The publication also claimed he split from his fiancée Lana earlier this year and Bryce fuelled further speculation when he put his Instagram account on private, despite having more than 12,000 followers.

What’s more, when contacted by Daily Mail Australia, Bryce would not comment on the rumours.

The decision to stop work for three months was an interesting one for Bryce, who only started in his current role in May 2020, after working for competitor radio company ACE Radio.

Married At First Sight usually films for three months, the same time period Bryce took off.

Bryce appears to have spent his entire career working in the media industry.

Prior to his current role at HIT FM, Bryce previously worked in Gippsland, Victoria, hosting a radio show and also working as a digital content producer. He has also worked for other big radio companies including Southern Cross Austereo, ARN and Grant Broadcasters.

He has even won an award for his radio talent. In 2018 he won the 2018 Australian Commercial Radio Award (ACRA) for Best Music Presenter in the country category.

Judging by his Instagram account, Bryce loves his footy (specifically the Canberra Raiders) as well as his pet pooches Seb and Sheba.

He also shares plenty of shots from inside the recording studio at work and over the years has met and interviewed stars including Guy Sebastian, Jennifer Hawkins and even Usain Bolt!

Despite making the tough decision to call off his engagement, Bryce says he’s ready for marriage, kids and a “white picket fence.”

This groom describes his ideal girl is adventurous, attractive and loves sport and is in the experiment to “do whatever it takes to make love blossom”.

Interestingly, this isn’t Bryce’s first brush with Channel Nine’s hit reality TV dating show.

He actually interviewed one of the show’s biggest stars, Stacey Hampton, during an Instagram live video in April.

Bryce and Stacey appeared on a video call together, where the 2020 MAFS star admitted during the conversation she knew her groom Michael Goonan before the pair were matched on the show.
