Only seven episodes of Farmer Wants A Wife have aired so far this season, but so much has happened. We’ve had several women walking off farms, we’ve had high-stakes drama between some of the women, and now? We’re dealing with intruders.
So, it’s understandable that viewers are a little surprised at how fast things are moving.
One viewer took to Facebook to air their frustration, saying, “Is it just me, or are we missing half the show? They seem to be flying through it. I’d like to see more of the [farmers] and [their] girls.

“It would be good if the guys could spend at least a few hours with each girl at the beginning before sending anyone home.”
“Completely agree,” another wrote. “The Country Ball used to come much later into the format.”
The Farmers weigh in: ‘A lot was left on the cutting room floor’
As it turns out, the audience isn’t alone in their frustration. Farmers Dylan and Zac have admitted that the whirlwind pace felt just as chaotic behind the scenes.
Farmer Dylan told WHO that while filming felt fast, the heavy-handed editing made it look even speedier on television.
“It definitely did [fly], but I think there’s been a lot that’s been cut where it didn’t feel like that in the same breath,” he said. “There is a lot of stuff that didn’t make it to the show.”
He cheekily added, “I didn’t think we’d be as far into it as we are now, but I understand there’s probably a lot of stuff that happened that might not be as engaging for an audience as Miranda [on Farmer Zac’s farm].”
“But yeah, it is moving quick,” he added, admitting he felt annoyed when he saw the editing of the football episode, because a lot was left on the cutting room floor.

Farmer Zac echoed those sentiments, saying he felt that, at the time of filming, the pacing felt “crazy”.
“[Everything was] moving so quickly,” he said. “And they’re like, ‘Well, you’ve been filming for this amount of time,’ and it’s like, ‘Wow, really? I feel like I’ve spent hardly any time with this person and that.’
“So, yeah, they are showing it, a lot does happen, and obviously you don’t get to see a fair bit of things as well, but yeah, definitely was moving very quick and it feels like they’re showing it that way too.”
When asked how he felt about the fact that not much farm work was happening on-screen, Zac added, “That’s probably one of those things where you need another 10 episodes or something? I don’t know, that doesn’t come down to me.”
