The final two weddings of the experiment brought us the vibrant and young-at-heart duo of Morena and Tony.
With their high-energy personalities and shared European backgrounds, the experts believed they could be the perfect match. But will their connection last beyond the altar?

Who are Morena and Tony?
At 57, Morena is a DJ and fitness instructor from Victoria who has spent the past few years embracing life to the fullest. After a 29-year marriage that left her feeling suffocated, she’s ready to find someone who will treat her like a queen. A dedicated mother to two children, Morena is looking for a man who will embrace her for everything she is, including her role as a carer for her son, Stefan.
Tony, 53, is a charter captain from New South Wales who thrives on adventure. Twice married before, he’s searching for a partner who can match his energy and hold his attention. With a loud and boisterous personality, Tony is happiest on the water, but he’s missing his first mate in life. He’s looking for a love like his parents had—everlasting and full of passion.
Inside their Wedding Day
Tony stayed true to his Macedonian heritage by incorporating traditional elements into his wedding day. He began the celebrations with a shot of 70-proof rakija (moonshine) and took part in a ritual symbolizing his transition from bachelorhood to married life—the ceremonial shaving of the groom. Meanwhile, Morena was having her dream dress fitted by her close friend Josephine, with her children by her side, cheering her on.
When Tony and Morena finally met at the altar, it was instant smiles all around. Tony couldn’t stop grinning as Morena walked down the aisle, and Morena called him “beautiful.” Their vows were heartfelt, and they quickly bonded over their shared European roots and love for family.
However, the day wasn’t without drama. Tony’s cousin, Stephen, pulled him aside, questioning whether Morena was “too old” for him and suggesting he should have been matched with someone a decade younger. But Tony dismissed his cousin’s concerns, stating that his perspective on love had changed and that he wanted to give Morena a real chance. “I think I have the most beautiful woman here,” he declared, standing firm in his decision.

Are Morena and Tony still together?
Despite the doubts from Tony’s cousin, the couple seemed to enjoy a strong start to their marriage. Morena appreciated how Tony communicated with her son, and Tony remained happy with his wife and their wedding day. Their playful, high-energy dynamic suggested they could be a great match.
But as the experiment progressed, the couple faced their own share of hiccups. And now, Morena has unexpectedly called into The Fox’s Fifi, Fev & Nick and shared some insights into her experience on the show.
“Instead of Married at First Sight, it should really be Disaster at First Sight,” she told the radio hosts. “Tony’s not interested in me, and I accept that. Going on Married at First Sight was like going on a bad date; the only difference is it was on-air.”
She went on to suggest her groom was still legally married and that her ‘edit’ was different to her experience.
“Why are you hiding my story?” she questioned. “Being separated and dating is completely acceptable… but I don’t think it’s right that you go on a show to get married when you’re legally married…”
Morena explained that her groom made the bombshell admission during their honeymoon, but the scenes didn’t make it into the episode. “He sits there and says I’m married. I legit froze.”
“You guys watch the show. My honeymoon doesn’t exist… isn’t that a question mark?”
Explaining that she didn’t believe producers were going to share the details during the show, Morena also revealed why she didn’t leave straight away.
“Three couples left on the first week. I was going to be the fourth one, and there was going to be no show… they [producers] cornered me.”
