Get ready, Islanders! Sophie Monk is back for her seventh season as host of Love Island Australia, and she’s promising that this year’s Islanders will be hotter, bolder and more vulnerable than ever.
And judging by that promo video, we can rest assured that this year means business.
WHO chatted with the 45-year-old on all things bombshells, twists and what we can all expect this year in Mallorca.
“I am so excited. I think it’s such a good show anyway, but there’s so much more buzz,” Sophie said, bubbling with energy.
“This franchise has slowly taken off every year, and now it’s just on another level.” And judging by her hint about the season, it sounds like the Islanders are in for one wild ride.

Fans can expect the contestants to be “a lot more vulnerable this year” as the show pushes them further than ever before.
Sophie teased that the new twists and challenges are “for their own good, but it also ends up quite entertaining… it just helps all of them grow in their relationships.”
Expect strong personalities, plenty of candid moments, and a few potential viral moments that viewers will be talking about long after the season ends.
The host also gave us the lowdown on the cast: “You’ve got all different types. Strong women who really speak their minds… and so many cool moments.” Sophie also hinted that romance, strategy, and drama are all on the menu this year, promising a season packed with fireworks.

From previous year’s we have seen some of our favourites lasting the mile.
From Season 5 (2023), winners Kale Roberts and Tyra Johannes are still going strong, sharing their journey with fans on social media.
Similarly, Georgia Murray and Nate Page, who briefly parted ways after the show, have rekindled their romance and are happier than ever.
As for what makes a Love Island couple last beyond the show? Sophie admitted it’s anyone’s guess. “I can pick who wins most years, maybe the top three… but who lasts? You just don’t know, because the outside world is so different.”

For Sophie, hosting Love Island Australia has grown into something like a second family.
“It’s almost like a school camp going overseas together to make a show. I just love everything about this show. Everything. It means so much to me.”
And as a key part of the global Love Island franchise, including hosting Aftersun in the U.S., Sophie’s influence has helped cement the show as a cultural phenomenon.
With Islanders ready to bare their hearts, minds, and maybe a few secrets, this seventh season of Love Island Australia is shaping up to be the most explosive yet.
Grab your popcorn, the drama is officially coming.
