The Voice is back, but this year’s competition is looking a little different.
For starters, there are five coaches in the famous red chairs, with Australian music sensation Tones And I joining Melanie C, Ronan Keating, Richard Marx and reigning champion Kate Miller-Heidke in a world-first twist.
And with each coach only allowed eight artists on their team, getting that coveted chair turn is more competitive than ever.
As Kate Miller-Heidke told WHO, the calibre of artists this year is anything but predictable.
“We don’t have that many straight-down-the-line singers [this season]. Everybody sort of has their own thing, their own artistic vision. That’s really cool,” the coach revealed. “I’ve got a gothic metal singer on my team, an opera singer, musical theatre, folk, pop. I love that about this show – if you don’t like something, just wait a minute.”
And honestly, she might be onto something.
From a 12-year-old singer and a group who have been making music together since high school, to performers who have spent years chasing their musical dreams, there’s already a seriously eclectic mix of talent competing for the $100,000 prize and recording development package.
Now that the Quarter Finals are underway, each team has four contestants (minus Richard Marx) battling it out for the grand prize.

Leyla Sabo, 12

At just 12, Leyla is finally old enough to audition for the show she’s loved since childhood. The Year 8 student has been singing for as long as she can remember and is ready to show Australia what she can do.
Jamie Koul, 19
Location: Melbourne, VIC
Jamie comes from a family of performers and has a pretty impressive act to follow. His sister Zoe earned a four-chair turn on The Voice four years ago, and now Jamie is stepping into the spotlight to chase his own musical dream.
Phoebe Rose, 17
Location: Sunshine Coast, QLD
This Sunshine Coast country girl has been singing since she was little, but her Voice audition is about more than just showcasing her talent. Phoebe returned to the stage to perform one of her late dad’s favourite songs, making the performance a tribute to the man who was her biggest fan.
The 60 Four, 26
Location: South Australia
Ben, Finn, Lachlan and Jack formed The 60 Four 11 years ago in a high school music class. They have been making music together ever since. With a serious love of ’60s music, the four friends now gig semi-professionally. The best part? They have their mums firmly in their corner as their biggest fans.

Victoria Knight, 21
Location: Pascoe Vale, VIC
Victoria brings a seriously unexpected combination to The Voice: classical opera training with a love of goth metal. Inspired by her mum to embrace the metal scene from a young age, the 21-year-old is proving there’s plenty of room for both worlds in her musical identity.
Daisha Auda, 15
Location: Logan, QLD
Singing runs in Daisha’s family, but the Logan teenager has never actually had a formal singing lesson. With her mum helping her channel her inner “diva mode”, Daisha is hoping to overcome her nerves and make her family proud.
Bertie Anderson, 37
Location: WA
Bertie Anderson is a Torres Strait Islander from the Pilbara who has spent 15 years working 13-hour shifts in the mines to fund his passion for music. Ready to trade early starts for the stage, Bertie has quit his job to pursue this opportunity, keeping mining only as a fallback plan.
Charlotte June, 22
Location: Adelaide, SA
Charlotte has been singing since she was eight, with music always being something she shared with her mum. After her mum was diagnosed with early-onset dementia, Charlotte became her carer, and is now determined to chase her own dreams and live without regrets.

Tommy Novak, 36
Location: NSW
After 19 years in a career that left him feeling unfulfilled, Tommy decided it was time to take a leap and pursue his passion for music. Following a difficult divorce, The Voice represents a fresh start for the singer, who is finally putting his dream first.
Tika Cetinich, 35
Location: VIC
Tika has been obsessed with music for as long as she can remember, taking singing lessons since she was five and regularly performing at gigs. But despite years of chasing her dream, she still feels like she hasn’t quite “made it”, and is now determined to prove herself on a national stage.
Wave Raiders, 15, 14, 13
Location: QLD
The Wave Raiders are a young punk surf-rock band from the Sunshine Coast, consisting of brothers Pete and Tom and their schoolmate Jayden. The trio, named for their love of music and surfing, met in primary school. Despite receiving noise complaints while rehearsing, they are determined to become the loudest band ever to perform on The Voice stage.

Cleo Paladino, 26
Location: NSW
Cleo is a doggy day care worker from Annandale who only feels confident enough to sing to the dogs she cares for. Following the sudden loss of her father in 2024, she is performing to make him proud and honour his memory, as he was always her greatest supporter.
Taylor Beadle-Williams, 37
Location: Marrickville, NSW
Taylor has music in her blood — she’s the daughter of Dragon frontman Mark Williams. But after growing up in the shadow of her famous dad, the Sydney singer is ready to carve out her own identity and be recognised for her talent on her own terms.
Jack Hughes, 29
Location: NSW
Originally from Liverpool, England, Jack has spent the past nine years in Australia honing his skills as a lead singer. He’s now pursuing his dream of becoming a touring musician, with The Voice helping him take the next step.
Yung Milla, 22
Location: NT
Yung Milla is a Marranunggu hip-hop artist and support worker from Darwin who uses rap to speak his truth and represent his community. Growing up in a tough town with his dad out of the picture, Yung Milla and his siblings were guided by their mother, who encouraged him to believe in himself, find his voice, and honour his heritage.

Dicko, 47
Location: Lara, VIC
Dicko is a dock worker from Lara who is taking to the stage to make his children and late father proud. His love of music began with a guitar his dad bought him at 13, making his Voice journey deeply personal.
Litia Keni, 18
Location: Canberra, ACT
Litia chose music over her father’s hopes that she would become a lawyer, determined to make a career as a singer. After a long period of estrangement, she hopes her journey on The Voice can show her dad just how much music means to her.
Red Roy, 26
Location: Central Coast, NSW
Red is a youth worker who has spent years mentoring students in schools, while also performing as a busker. Known for his free-spirited approach to music and happy personality, he’s now bringing that energy to a much bigger stage.
