Sarah Michelle Gellar shared a heartwarming birthday message to Selma Blair on Thursday.
Gellar used a picture from the 2000 MTV Movie Awards for the celebratory post. The two won the award that year for “Best Kiss” after their moment together in the 1999 film, Cruel Intentions.
Gellar captioned the picture on her Instagram, ‘Smooches on your #birthday. To my friend @therealselmablair, who may be an award winning kisser, but should be an award winning friend and mother!! (And style icon)’
Selma Blair celebrated her 44th birthday on Thursday. Her 4-year-old son Arthur joined her for the special occasion.
Blair also took to Instagram, sharing the following picture with the caption, ‘”And so what should I wish? “. And he whispered it in my ear right then. I ask my angel for it to be true every day. And to do the same for others. Thank you @wildersatheart for loving us this birthday. Your patience. Your support. We 💛 you. And a sincere thank you to all those who sent me the spirit of loving and forgiveness. It is a new birth year. Thank you.’
Blair, who has split from her son Arthur’s father, Jason Bleick, recently went on a trip with them both to celebrate Father’s Day in Mexico.
However, on the way back, Blair was allegedly removed from the plane on a stretcher once it landed. It was reported that Blair had an outburst on the plane after mixing alcohol and medication.
Blair has since commented on the incident, “After a lovely trip with my son and his Dad, I mixed alcohol with medication, and that caused me to black out and led me to say and do things that I deeply regret.”
She continued, “I take this very seriously, and I apologize to all of the passengers and crew that I disturbed and am thankful to all of the people who helped me in the aftermath,” she continued. “I am a flawed human being who makes mistakes and am filled with shame over this incident. I am truly very sorry.”
