BTS is Back with a New Documentary: BTS Monuments: Beyond The Star

Calling all ARMY!

If you’re a loyal member of the BTS ARMY, we’re certain that you will still be coming to terms with the news that the four remaining members, Namjoon, Jimin, Taehyung, and Jungkook, have enlisted in their military service, meaning that BTS won’t be back together as a seven-member group until 2025 at the earliest.

While the news of nearly two years without seeing the members can be upsetting, we can always count on BTS to have their fans at the front of their minds, with the group announcing the release of an eight-part documentary series BTS Monuments: Beyond The Star.

Kicking off on December 20, 2023, the documentary series will offer ARMY an inside look at never-before-seen interviews, concert footage, and behind-the-scenes footage across the group’s 10-year career.

What is BTS Monuments: Beyond The Star about?

Featuring a collection of previously unreleased interviews and behind-the-scenes clips, BTS Monuments: Beyond The Star will look back on BTS’ career over the last 10 years.

The opening two episodes of the series will focus on BTS’ preparations for their June 2013 debut and their first taste of stardom following their groundbreaking first album 2 Cool 4 Skool. After exploring their early years, the series will delve into the trials and tribulations of BTS’ rise to international fame, focusing on the member’s personal journey from ordinary young adults to chart-topping recording artists. 

The series will also share more insight into some of ARMY’s favourite moments, including Jungkook’s high school graduation ceremony, Namjoon’s speech at the UN General Assembly, and the group’s record-breaking performance at London’s Wembley Stadium.

When is the BTS Monuments: Beyond The Star release date? 

BTS Monuments: Beyond The Star is currently slated for release on December 20, 2023. 

According to Disney+‘s press release, the first two episodes of the eight-part docuseries will be available to stream on the release date, with two episodes being released weekly every Wednesday for three weeks (January 10).

Where to watch BTS Monuments: Beyond The Star in Australia
