It’s hard to justify having a streaming subscription these days, I know.
Between bills, rent and having a little left over to buy something new every once in a while, paying a monthly fee just to watch a handful of shows might not seem all that practical.
But with Disney+ announcing it’s dropping the price of its annual subscriptions by 42 per cent, I might have to reconsider signing up.
From Wednesday, October 7 (that’s today!) through to Wednesday, October 21, 2026, new and eligible returning subscribers can sign up for a Disney+ Standard Annual subscription for $125.99 or a Disney+ Premium Annual subscription for $174.99 in Australia.
That’s a saving of 42 per cent compared to 12 months of Disney+ Standard or Disney+ Premium, respectively, at the regular monthly subscription price.
What you can stream with the offer
Signing up now opens the door to plenty of new entertainment for your next Wednesday night indulgence.
Coming up on Disney+ soon are:
- Rivals season 2 (November 8): I’m personally very excited for this one.
- The Kardashians season 8 (October 8): Not quite as compelling as it used to be, but I might tune in to see if they address Kim’s relationship with Lewis Hamilton.
- KATSEYE: WILD HEARTS (October 16): This one’s for the K-pop fans.
Other highly anticipated upcoming titles include Marvel Television’s VisionQuest (October 14), Only Murders in the Building season 6 and Percy Jackson and the Olympians season 3, with plenty more movies and series set to arrive throughout 2026 and 2027.
You can also catch recently released blockbusters, including Toy Story 5, Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu, and The Devil Wears Prada 2, alongside binge-worthy shows such as The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, Grey’s Anatomy, Adults, Modern Family, Chad Powers and more.
And it’s not just movies and TV. A Disney+ subscription also gives you access to live sports from some of the biggest leagues in the world, including the NBA, NFL, NHL and more – all included with your subscription.
