Is Doctor Odyssey filmed on a real ship?

Though it looks like a glamorous cruise liner at sea, Doctor Odyssey was actually filmed on a soundstage, with much of the filming taking place in Los Angeles at Rye Canyon Studios.

Through realistic visual effects and carefully crafted interiors, viewers can easily imagine themselves aboard the crusie liner , even if the cast and crew never left port.

Was Shania Twain on Doctor Odyssey?

Yes! The one and only Shania Twain guest-stars on the show, making her appearance during “Singles Week” in Season 1, Episode 2.

Twain plays a character who has her eyes set on none other than the captain himself, bringing a dose of country-pop charm to the episode. Chord Overstreet (known from Glee), Country musician Kelsea Ballerini and John Stamos have also made appearances, stirring up trouble on deck. With so many episodic stars, the debut season is packed with flirtation, tension, and a bit of lust-driven humour.

Will there be a Season 2?

As of now, there’s no official confirmation for Doctor Odyssey Season 2, but the show’s popularity and Murphy’s track record suggest good prospects for a renewal. The series, with its unique setting and episodic guest stars, has found a dedicated audience intrigued by the outlandish medical cases and romantic escapades on board.
